Region 1 Apprenticeship Contest 2023

We are happy to announce that the 2023 SMART Region 1 Apprenticeship Contest will be held

April 20th – 23rd, 2023 at

SMART Local 71’s Training Facility in Buffalo, NY.

Contestants and guests will stay at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel. The daily room rate is $144.00.

Overnight guests can request a self-parking pass when they check in. Guests will be charged $15 a night on their room for parking.

Written Exam: Delaware Suites (2nd Floor)
There will be a registration table outside the room for participants to check-in.

Hospitality Room: Ellicott Room (2nd Floor)
Thursday: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Friday: 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Hospitality Suite: Room # TBD
Saturday: 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

There will be a Grayline bus to Niagara Falls on Saturday, April 22nd. There will be a sign-up sheet for anyone interested at the registration table.
